Steep-pitched A-frame perched on a granite bluff at the end of an unmaintained road. Originally built as a hunting shelter, rebuilt into something livable by the previous owner and finished by us over two summers. Sleeps two in a loft reached by a ladder that is not a suggestion.
Pairs of people who like steep light and steep stairs. Writers on deadline. Anyone who'd rather watch the weather move across the valley than do anything else.
Anyone with a bad knee, anyone afraid of heights, anyone with a pet that can't do a ladder.
Road in is rough after hard rain. The propane fridge is old and loud, but it works. The loft ladder has been rebuilt and is safer than it looks; it still looks like a ladder.
