One-room timber cabin on the south shore of a small, mostly-empty lake. Built in 1952, re-chinked and re-roofed by us in 2019. Sleeps four between the double bed and the pull-out bench. Wood stove does the heating. Propane does the cooking. Water comes from a hand pump twenty feet off the porch.
People who want to read a book without anyone finding them. People who know how to lay a fire. Couples who can share a small space without wanting a second room.
Anyone expecting running hot water, cell signal, or a shower. There's a solar bag on a nail by the porch. That's the shower.
The west-facing window frame is original and will need replacing in the next three or four seasons. The outhouse is sound but the door sticks in damp weather. The lake is cold until mid-July.
